WET&HARD

WET&HARD was released by Flesh on 11 November 2002 as a mixed compilation by Corvin Dalek. Two years after HOTKUNST, Wet&Hard appears not only as a style and track reference within the surrounding releases, but as the title of a release in its own right.

Eight of the 16 positions feature Corvin Dalek as the artist, including Restless Naked Natives, Young People, The Atheist and several versions of A Real Man, Pornoground and Poundz & Pénz. The mix also includes Corvin Dalek’s Très Hard Remix of Mr. Sam’s Pressurize. Further productions and remixes involve Michael Burian, Jan Kessler, Alex Flatner, Mr. Sam, Evien Major and Kama Arts.

The cover carries a Parental Advisory notice. Here it is not merely a graphic element: A Real Man includes a clearly sexual male vocal sound as part of the track. The warning therefore works almost as a dry comment on the material — in this case, it can be taken unusually literally. The compilation was assembled during a period of regular DJ appearances in the UK and continued work with Flesh.
