Secret Locations #04, Berlin, 2019

Secret Locations #04 was recorded at Finow Parterre in Berlin on 27 January 2019. The approximately three-and-a-half-hour DJ set forms part of Corvin Dalek’s Secret Locations series and moves between Dub Techno, IDM, Tech House, Minimal, Techno and Wet&Hard.

For Episode #04, the format was expanded with a continuous visual component. Dalek used his own footage from his first performance at GODSKITCHEN in Birmingham on 22 June 2001. The club footage was repurposed for the 2019 edition and combined with the Berlin DJ set.

Musically, the set works across extended sections with reduced grooves, dub structures and a considerably slower development than the surviving club sets from the early 2000s. Tech House, Minimal and IDM-oriented sections alternate within the extended format, while Wet&Hard remains part of its musical context.

The published YouTube version therefore combines a DJ set recorded in 2019 with archive footage from Birmingham in 2001. The video forms the audiovisual archive version of Secret Locations #04.
