Quetzalcoatl

Klang & Dalek released Quetzalcoatl on 4 November 2005 on Flesh as a 12″ under catalogue number 7627-6. The vinyl release contains two treatments of the collaborative track: Klang’s Latin Power Remix and DJ Marvin’s Extasis Remix.

The original production was developed in 2003 during Corvin Dalek’s visit to Mexico in connection with Technogeist / Loveparade México. Corvin Dalek and DJ Klang worked on Quetzalcoatl there together with Mark Reeder, who participated in the studio session as co-producer. Ramiro Puente was also involved as a co-producer during the studio session. The title drew on impressions from the Mexico visit before the track was developed further in the studio.

The work was already circulating before the Flesh 12″. Quetzalcoatl is documented as a CD-R in 2004, and an edit also existed in the Loveparade México context. The 2005 Flesh release subsequently brought together the Klang and DJ Marvin remix versions on vinyl.
