I Am a Dalek

I Am a Dalek was released by Flesh on 20 October 2003 as a 17-track album by Corvin Dalek. The album was produced and mixed with Mark Reeder, with programming and engineering by Corvin Dalek. Recording and mixing took place at Narodni Podník Studio 5 in Berlin.

The 17 tracks combine original productions with collaborations and remix versions. Bass guitars are credited to The Bass Girls; on Ménage à Trois, Corvin Dalek, Mark Reeder and Martyn Walsh appear as The Dirty Three. Fidelity Kastrow appears on I Like It 69 and MTW (Manchmal Tut Es Weh), with Bernard Sumner featured on the closing version of Crystal. Further production and remix contributions include Mr. Sam, Jan Kessler and Eiven Major.

The cover and artwork were developed with Mark Reeder at Narodni Podník Graficker Studio. Alongside detailed track credits, the booklet documents additional production elements, including a “Stöhnthesizer” programmed by Corvin Dalek and Mark Reeder. An unreleased visual demo was also developed alongside the album, edited by Corvin Dalek in Adobe Premiere from original visual material and music from the record. A selected excerpt from that original version is presented on the archive page as a contemporary working document.
