HOTKUNST

HOTKUNST was released by Flesh on 7 July 2000 as a mixed compilation by Corvin Dalek. The release was developed during a period in which Dalek was regularly working as a resident DJ at Berlin’s Excess Club in Kreuzberg and Wet&Hard was increasingly being used to describe the context of his DJ sets and productions.

The tracklist combines productions by a range of artists with three Corvin Dalek tracks: Pornoground, Gimme Two Fingers and Crystal (Pornoclub Mix). Alex Flatner’s Wet & Hard also places the term directly within the compilation itself. Other contributors include Holy Ghost, Toni Rios, Joey Beltram, Timo Maas, Pascal F.E.O.S., Sven Väth and Marco Zaffarano.

The title HOTKUNST was proposed by Mark Reeder and is based on a phonetic play on a vulgar English expression. The compilation was released by Flesh under catalogue number 7602-2.
