The Hardest Heart (Corvin Dalek’s Sexinfarkt Remix) by Blank & Jones feat. Anne Clark first appeared on 27 July 2002 as a dedicated remix vinyl release in advance of the forthcoming single. The version was later also included on the The Hardest Heart maxi-CD released by Gang Go / WEA on 11 November 2002.
Anne Clark’s vocal material remained the central element of the remix. Corvin Dalek restructured the track for his club production approach of the period, adding acid-influenced sequences, a stronger low-end foundation and a harder rhythmic framework. The voice remained in the foreground while the instrumental was rebuilt around it.
The remix therefore appeared in several release configurations during 2002: first as a dedicated vinyl version and later on the regular maxi-CD. Later digital editions of The Hardest Heart reissued both the full Sexinfarkt Remix and a Corvin Dalek Short Cut.
