E for Europe was released by MFS in January 1999 as part of the Assorted Compilation Series. It was the first compilation mixed by Corvin Dalek for MFS, bringing together sixteen tracks and mix segments from the label’s contemporary techno and trance catalogue.

Alongside productions by other artists, the compilation also includes Corvin Dalek’s own material. Poundz & Penz appears as a Corvin Dalek track, while the short Conventional Minds was made with Chris Zippel and Mark Reeder.

The cover also draws on a specific contemporary reference. Its design responds to the introduction of the Euro by combining its imagery with visual codes from club culture: pill motifs are arranged around a central Euro coin, replacing the familiar circle of stars associated with European symbolism.
