New Order – Krafty [Demo]

In 2005, I worked on a demo remix of Krafty by New Order. The project was initiated through Bernard Sumner, who shared the vocal stems via Mark Reeder. At the time, Mark and I were collaborating closely. The remix was produced during a transitional phase. My studio setup was shifting from analog to digital – a process that brought both new possibilities and unresolved technical challenges. The atmosphere around the production was overdriven a bit. Although the material was strong and the opportunity significant, the final result lacked the cohesion necessary for approval by London Records. Mark and I worked through multiple stages of the remix, but something in the process remained disjointed. The track never reached release.
