A visual ritual in SCI-FI TECHNO

SCI-FI #2 marks the next chapter of the 3TØN project – a focused descent into the architecture of SCI-FI TECHNO. This 70-minute audiovisual set, distilled from a longer 2-hour mix, functions as a transmission: spatial, mechanical, and deliberately nonlinear.

The selection comprises recent material from March and April 2025. The sound is raw, hypnotic, and structurally reduced – built around a consistent tempo field (136–140 BPM), designed to maintain physical continuity while allowing shifts in texture and intensity. Tracks were chosen for utility and signal. Each serves as a vector: through atmosphere, pressure, and synthetic form. The mix draws from hardware minimalism, broken techno phrasing, and science-fiction tropes: ring-modulated pulses, filtered feedback, harmonic residue. It avoids melody in favour of modulation. It is cinematic in movement, but grounded in club syntax. The aesthetic is systemic, closer to infrastructure than performance.

Visual Composition

The accompanying visuals were generated through SORA cinematic prompts and constructed as modular loop structures. The treatment is analog: grain, flicker, monochrome interference. Referencing Fritz Lang’s Metropolis, Kubrick’s 2001, and the logic of The Matrix, the imagery unfolds like archival footage from an alternate future – ritualistic, synthetic, without closure. What emerges is a spatial condition: an imagined zone where techno persists as liturgy. A traveler – identity unknown – enters this zone. No comfort is offered. Only alignment.

SCI-FI #2 extends the series into darker, more cinematic terrain. Compared to Part One, the focus here is tighter, the material denser. It is constructed as a rite.
