Deep Ride was released on August 31, 2023, by the Mexican label Toltecnica Records as part of their compilation Global Electronic Sound Vol. One. The track marks a point of reorientation – produced during a phase defined by withdrawal, reduction, and renewed focus. Following the decision to rebuild my production setup and return to techno, I was invited by DJ Klang to contribute to the compilation. The result was Deep Ride – a track shaped by the rhythm of my daily routine in Berlin-Friedrichshain. Slower in pace, structurally restrained, yet clear in intention, it reflects a state of ongoing concentration under conditions of uncertainty.

Context and Process

The track was produced in my current studio, during the pandemic. A period marked by isolation, but also by extended introspection and new directions. Alongside music, I began writing: memoir fragments, outlines for a novel, and early material for a possible film. Klang’s invitation came as a prompt to refocus on sound. Deep Ride was the response. The production follows a steady logic – club-oriented, but not directed toward immediacy. Quiet in its persistence, the track signals a restart: not in terms of style, but of intention. It does not aim to impress, but to continue.
